ARRA funds CIPP in sweet home Alabama

Pell City, Alabama, US will use $US6.7 million of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds to rehabilitate sewage infrastructure using CIPP.

The contract, which has been awarded to Insituform Technologies, is the largest CIPP project in Pell City’s history. Insituform will rehabilitate approximately 115,000 feet of sewer pipelines in residential and rural areas using CIPP to eliminate inflow and infiltration on the 25 year old small to medium diameter sanitary sewers.

Work on this project is expected to begin in February 2010 and take approximately one year to complete.
