Using CIPP to rehabilitate sewer pipelines in residential, commercial and environmentally sensitive areas within the City of Austin, a new term contract will play a significant and strategic role in restoring the structural integrity of the city’s collection system.
The almost $11.7 million contract, awarded to Insituform Technologies Inc., ensures the utilisation of minority-owned and women-owned businesses throughout the project, in compliance with the city’s policies.
Reducing inflow and infiltration and eliminating sanitary sewer overflows, the jointless pipe-within-a-pipe system will be used to rehabilitate wastewater pipelines ranging in diameter from 6 – 96 inches. Rehabilitating wastewater pipelines with CIPP reduces infiltration, restores structural integrity and increases flow capacity without disruption to communities, typically at a lower cost than dig and replace solutions.
Meanwhile, on June 30 Insituform Technologies Inc. officially launched the Insituform – Asia Pacific Headquarters in Singapore.
