The range of end seals is designed to prevent infiltration between the newly installed liner and the host pipe whilst minimising diameter reduction. Manufactured from EPDM rubber and stainless steel, the end seal can withstand harsh sanitary sewer environments and can also be retro-fitted to a pipeline if required.
The product uses the patented Slotted Band to provide maximum sealing force with minimum reduction in pipe diameter. The band is constructed from a single piece of steel rolled to match the diameter of the new liner and host pipe. The design captures the rubber seal and compresses it against the host pipe and new liner, creating a permanent mechanical seal with maximum strength and sealing force. The largest diameter undertaken so far is approximately 3 metres.
"For over 20 years our company, both independently and now as part of the Trelleborg Group, has striven to provide customers with the best systems and materials on the pipeline renovation market. The addition of the Trelleborg NPC End Seal system to our range simply enhances this ongoing commitment to our clients," UK Sales Director Ian Ramsey said.
