Capitalising on the growing trenchless market in Singapore, Insituform Technologies, Inc. has acquired its former licensee in Singapore, Insitu Envirotech (Insitu S.E. Asia) for $US1.3 million.
Vice President of Asia Pacific for Insituform Daniel E Cowan said that the acquisition of the trenchless rehabilitation company will provide access to the Singapore and Malaysian rehabilitation markets and bolster Insituform’s operations in India, Hong Kong and Australia.
“The trenchless rehabilitation market in Singapore is experiencing significant growth as a result of a recently initiated, four-year $US295 million rehabilitation program announced by the Public Utility Board (PUB), Singapore’s national water agency.”
Mr Cowen said that Insituform’s products are well suited for this market and should allow the company to expand Insitu S.E. Asia’s operations.
