The works, which were designed and executed by Nacap, form part of the Muthurajawela Single Point Buoy Mooring (SPBM) pipeline project in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

In September 2008 Nacap was awarded the contract for the HDD and onshore pipeline works for the Muthurajawela SPBM by Leighton Contractors.

The shore approach was 337 m in length, and used 18 inch pipe. The product pipe was pulled into the hole in five hours without incident, and tie-in works were due for completion in late April.

All equipment was utilised for the project is currently being prepared for export and demobilisation to Veendam, The Netherlands and Batam, Indonesia in preparation for future projects.
