Northern Ireland Water will shortly commence work on the installation of a new gravity sewer in the village of Toome, located on the northern bank of Lough Neagh.
The sewer, which will be constructed using HDD, is intended to link Toome with new wastewater treatment works being constructed in Creagh. GEDA Construction has been contracted to complete the works.
The project is part of a multimillion pound program of improvements to the sewerage system in the Toome and Creagh area.
Work on the project began in mid-May, and is expected to take approximately 20 weeks to complete.
