A pipe bursting project has recently been completed on the Isle of Lewis, located off the northeast coast of Scotland.
Contractor Duncan Mackay & Sons used a Grundoburst 400G to complete the project for Scottish Water, which involved replacing approximately 125 metres of four inch water main with 125 mm PE pipe in mixed ground conditions comprising sandstone beach shingle. The project also involved repairing several collars on the old pipes.

The project took two days to complete and was attended by a TT-UK representative who provided onsite tuition and theoretical and safe working insight into the pipe bursting project. TT-UK also provided Duncan Mackay & Sons with the Grundoburst 400G.
