The city council of Refugio, located in the southern state of Texas, will receive bids for its 2010 Sanitary Sewer Line Improvement Project – Phase II until 25 June.

The project consists of the rehabilitation of an existing 8 inch sewer trunk line using pipe bursting, as well as the rehabilitation of sanitary sewer manholes.

The contract will be awarded at a City Council meeting on 29 June.

Meanwhile, the City of Green River in Wyoming is accepting bids for a contract to construct the Waterline Crossing of the Green River Project using horizontal directional drilling (HDD).

The contractor will be responsible for installing a 24 inch fused PVC waterline casing pipe, and a 16 inch carrier pipe in a bore under the Green River.

The council has pre-qualified HDD contractors for the directional drilling portion of the project.

Bids must be received by 6 July.
